How Beacon collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Who we are

Beacon Capacity Partners Limited is an appointed representative of ES Risks Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are the data controller for the personal information we collect about you.

What we collect

  • Contact details you provide through our enquiry and review request forms.
  • Documentation requests you send us from the Partner with Us page. The request form there composes an email in your own mail app and sends nothing to this website. We use the details in that email only to send you the documents you asked for and to answer any question you include.
  • Information about your business and its insurance requirements.
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected via our website.
  • Website usage data collected by our own first-party analytics (such as pages viewed and referring links). This is cookieless and anonymised — a temporary in-tab identifier and an anonymised IP address — and your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is honoured, until you accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner. If you accept and then submit a form, we may associate that usage with the email address you provide. See our Cookie Policy for the detail and how to change your choice at any time.
  • Website and campaign measurement data collected through Google Analytics 4, and through Google Ads where we advertise (for example pages viewed, the search or advert that brought you to the site, and whether an enquiry was submitted). Until you accept analytics cookies this runs in Google’s consent mode: no cookies are set, advertising identifiers are removed, and the data is anonymous and aggregated. If you accept, cookies are set so we can measure which marketing leads to genuine enquiries. Google acts as our processor for this data. See our Cookie Policy to change your choice at any time.
  • LinkedIn advertising data, collected through the LinkedIn Insight Tag, where we advertise on LinkedIn. This lets us measure which adverts lead to an enquiry and show follow-up adverts to people who have visited the site. This tag is loaded only if you accept optional cookies — if you decline, no request is made to LinkedIn at all. Where it is loaded, LinkedIn may set advertising cookies and, if you hold a LinkedIn account, may associate the visit with it; LinkedIn acts as an independent controller for that data. See our Cookie Policy to withdraw consent at any time.

How we use it

Your personal and/or sensitive personal information may be used by us in a number of ways, including to:

  • arrange and administer an application for insurance;
  • manage and administer the insurance;

We will not disclose Your personal data outside our group of companies except:

  • where we have your permission;
  • where we are required or permitted to do so by law;
  • to other companies who provide a service to us or you; and/or
  • where we may transfer rights and obligations under the insurance.

Why is it necessary to share information?

  • act as a basis for investigating claims when We suspect that fraud is being attempted; and/or
  • respond to requests for information from law enforcement agencies.
